For this story, I was covering an MVHS club that focused on animal protection and welfare. Since animal welfare isn't widely well-known topic, I decided to make an infographic about some of the statistics I found when researching. I compiled a few into the infographic I made with Canva on the right.
This story was about the first Winter Formal MVHS had held in a while, so it was largely promoted to get people to attend. When covering it, I decided to embed the Instagram posts into the story so that the reader could see what it looked like. I embedded a few posts throughout the story, and added a gallery of screenshots at the end so the reader could easily click through them rather than keep scrolling on and on.
For the rally, we took photos throughout the event, of all the dance performances, musical performances and games, and compiled it into a Flickr photo gallery for easy viewing. I embedded it into the story, after a short blurb about the events that happened during the rally.
